New Hanover

Welcome

Welcome to the website of New Hanover Exploration Pty Limited (“New Hanover”).

New Hanover is a private unlisted Australian company funded by Australian-based shareholders. Its registered office is Collins Square, Tower Four, Level 18, 727 Collins Street, Docklands, Victoria, 3008, Australia.

The company is a gold explorer. Its main area of interest is the historically significant Steiglitz Goldfield located about half way between Ballarat and Geelong in Victoria. A large part of the Steiglitz Goldfield is held by the Company under Exploration Licence 6164 that covers 51 square kilometres and is renewed to 12 October 2026.

The Company works according to the guidelines issued by Earth Resources Regulation, Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions, the government body which administers mineral exploration in Victoria; and, subject to various statutory requirements being satisfied, this Exploration Licence permits it to explore for gold and other minerals in the relevant land, but it does not entitle, in itself, the company to undertake mining.

The Steiglitz Goldfield is part of the Bendigo-Ballarat gold zone which has produced over 80 million ounces of gold. Historically, Steiglitz produced around 250,000 ounces of gold at a grade of 38 grams of gold per tonne (equivalent to just over one ounce of gold per tonne of ore), ranking it in the top 10 of producers and the second highest grade in the whole belt. It is one of the few old gold rush sites in Australia that has not had a modern gold exploration program applied to it, especially drilling. Steiglitz has a number of geological similarities to the Fosterville gold deposit located near Bendigo, now a seven million ounce deposit being mined by underground methods.

Given these characteristics, New Hanover believes the potential is good for discovery of commercial underground deposits of gold.

The company is led by experienced and well credentialed directors. They enjoy the support of similarly well credentialed technical advisors who are also proven ore finders and shareholders of the company.
